Visit to the Rudolfinum – Photo Highlights

These photos capture moments from our visit to the Rudolfinum.

On Friday, 27 February 2026, a group of 30 international students and researchers from UCT Prague joined a guided tour of this iconic Prague landmark. To ensure comfort and a more personal experience, we split into two groups, each accompanied by a professional guide from the Rudolfinum.

During the tour, we learned about the rich and diverse history of the building, which has served not only as a concert hall but also as the seat of the parliament of the newly established Czechoslovak Republic after 1918. The guides also introduced us to the darker chapters of its past during the Nazi occupation between 1939 and 1945, as well as to the events that followed after the war, including the founding of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the legacy of its renowned conductors.

We explored the Main Concert Hall, the Suk Hall, and several beautifully decorated reception rooms. A special highlight was the opportunity to enjoy stunning views from the balconies—towards the Old Town on one side and towards Prague Castle on the other.

The entire experience was enhanced by exceptionally sunny weather, making the visit even more memorable. Everyone greatly enjoyed the excursion.
